Hitoko Okada is a queer, Nikkei, interdisciplinary artist researcher and facilitator. Their background is in fashion and costume for theatre. Okada shares their artistic work and ideas through exhibitions, collaborations, and public engaged programs. Their research-based practice has developed through artist residencies across Canada, Japan and the USA. Okada is currently in a graduate program at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC.
